Gambit's New Supply Site
Hey Folks,
Gambit's World has decided to choose it's official supply store to get all the cool gear we want (not associated with Marvel stuff). It's great for Gambit's World because it is military surplus supplies which any sci fi or mutant lover needs. Here is the site Best Military Surplus.
They have clothing (costumes are a must for mutants)
Weapons (if your mutant powers are not quite all-that, look at what Batman and the Punisher use and this should make you feel better about this option).
Check this article talking about the top 5 knife sheath if you want to see a good example.
Any gear, guns, camping, hunting, clothing, etc gear you need to start an adventure through the wild or mountains or even emergency supplies in case your going in space to start an Asteroid M or find a fiery phoenix...

Who is Gambit's best friend?
Gambit is almost as much of a loner as Wolverine in many ways. This makes Wolverine a front runner.
His old thief pals, brother and others from his past is a life he let go. He clearly left that life and did not want to return. That is evidenced by giving the ring back to his former girl, leaving his brother and old gang behind and returning with the X-Men out of the swamp.
Cyclops and Gambit tend to go at it every once in a while, a clash of egos. They definately aren't close. He is pretty indifferent with Storm, Beast, Professor X and Jean. He has always had a soft spot for Jubilee, but definately not friends.
Rogue and Gambit's back and forth relationship shows a real friendship at the heart. But most would consider Rogue more of a love interest than a friend.
Does Gambit have any friends than?
Yes! A guy with that much charm has lady friends from New York to Asteroid M. But a best friend, we will go back to the original line with...Wolverine. Gambit and Wolverine are usually arguing or making smart comments to each other. An occasional little skirmish, but you know they have some similar qualities. Other then both being loners, they are very confident and aggressive fighters. They both have a soft spot for Jubilee and are attracted to other X-Men that they can't quite get.
When Wolverine and Gambit were in the mines battling the Sentinels, Wolverine locked Gambit out to take them all on alone, but Gambit wouldn't let Wolverine fight them alone, he found a way through the door (a little kinetic energy helps). Both are heroic in their own little way.

What makes Gambit the Man's Man?
Look at all the women after this guy. One of them kidnaps him and tries to force a wedding ring on his finger.
The best part of it all for Gambit, is that it's hot women after him. Any guy can be envious of that. Maybe that is why Wolverine is harbouring such negative feelings of jealousy towards the Cajun at times.
What other guy in the X-Men world can get Rogue? Sure she's had a few boyfriends in her time, but none have been able to keep her. You can say it's because of the emotional baggage she carries around, feeling sorry for herself.
The fact is, that Gambit can get any women he wants, and still goes for a top quality girl like Rogue, says a lot about him. Here is the question your asking though, what makes him so likeable and makes us want to be more like him?
He has looks, swagger, he is funny...but what he really has is his confidence. He can say whatever he wants, and get away with it. He doesn't care one bit about what others think...
And that is what makes him the great mutant he is.

Who has made a Gambit Costume?
If your like me, and have looked around the internet for a Gambit costume, your mostly out of luck. Sure you can get a tacky Wolverine costume at most costume stores. But Gambit and other characters not named Wolverine seem to mostly be non-existant from costume stores.
There are very few resources on making your own either. I have been planning to find the necessary pieces and making it into a resource for a while now, on how to make a homemade Gambit costume that looks quality. But won't be back in the States to get the necessary pieces for a while.
If you've ever made one before or would like to get all the pieces and write a resource about it, show some pictures. Let me know, reply to this post. As always all comments are welcome.

Should Rogue Be In New Gambit Movie? Opinions on what the thiefs movie should be about
With no news in months from Hollywood about a the new Gambit movie, I decided to write about what I as a fan want to see in the new movie.
You can read about what I thought about Taylor's role as Gambit in X-Men Origens: Wolverine in an earlier post here: Review of Wolverine.
Who should play Gambit?
The actor needs to be someone with a lot of personality, some fans have brought up Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom. Brad Pitt would be good, this would be his toughest challenge to pull off yet.
Rogue or not to Rogue?
Come on...if you've kept up with this site, you know definately to Rogue. What is Gambit without her? Just go back and watch the 90's cartoon series and you can see the great opportunities they have to put these two together on screen. They may have to restart her character, but with the coming restart of X-Men, that shouldn't interfere.
The bad guy(s)
Here is a much tougher choice. Gambit doesn't have a big-screen nemesis. Most of his conflicts are fairly small and not all that interesting. You could match him up against Deadpool, but the probability that he gets his own movie makes less than likely.
They would most likely do similar to Wolverine and start at his childhood. When he was a thief in New Orleans. Eventually you would have to decide on a deserving bad guy. My vote: Iceman for getting too close to Rogue in X-Men 1 & 2...and breaking her heart in #3.
